Patch 2.0 - Deck Building Update

Hello, this patch is the first update to this game that was made during a game jam. Even though the ideas and mechanics of the game were fleshed out pretty well, I wanted to improve upon the concept. The game is essentially Slay the Spire but you play as the Heart or the Spire itself. However, the deck building aspect of the genre was not there. So, in this patch I focused on introducing this important aspect of the genre to this game.

Added-

  • Added the Deck, cards open from a pack or from the Draft are added to the Deck.
  • After Draft phase and at the start of Build phase, you draw 1 card from the Deck
  • Added after beating a Player, gain 1 Player Soul that can be used in the Soul Shop and 1 card from three random cards
  • Added Soul Shop, use Player Souls to buy Packs of cards and other effects
  • Added Drop, when Cards are cast, they are sent to drop. When the deck is empty, shuffle the drop to the deck, before drawing
  • Players can move Monsters from Room to Room infinitely during Build Mode
  • Added new Slimes cards revolving around +1/1s
  • Added new Goblin cards revolving around Rooms
  • All Room cards got +1 capacity, to encourage more Monster combos
  • Added zoom in on Room that Player and Monsters are fighting in
  • Added custom number text for damage, health, and counters
  • Added new animations
  • Added damage numbers

Removed-

  • Packs don’t drop from players and now packs contain around 1-2 cards instead of 5.
  • Removed Reroll cards and Gain Actions power ups options
  • Red Slime 1 / 3 -> 1 / 2
  • Player Start Stats 1 / 2 -> 1 / 1
  • Fixed a lot of major bugs
